Welcome back to "Amazon Seller Insights," where we break down the ins and outs of the Amazon selling world. Today, we're diving into the treasure trove of information available on a seller's page on Amazon.
Each seller on Amazon has a dedicated page, and if you know how to decode it, it's a goldmine. It holds key details about the seller's business, customer service, and more. Let's explore how to access it and what you can learn from it.
Accessing the Seller Page
There are a couple of ways to get to a seller's page. The simplest way is to click on the seller's name on the offer details of a product page on Amazon. Alternatively, you can search for the seller's name on TrackSellers.com and navigate to the Amazon profile page via the 'see all products’ link at the bottom of the page. For those who are more tech-savvy and know the seller ID, you can also use the URL format: www.amazon.com/sp?seller=<seller-id>
Key Information on the Seller Page
Once you're on the seller's page, you'll notice a few sections:
Seller Basics: This section includes the seller's name, a link to all products listed by the seller, and an 'About the Seller' section where sellers may share more about their business, customer service phone numbers, etc.
Ratings: Here, you'll find ratings for the past 1 month, 3 months, 12 months, and lifetime. These numbers can be somewhat misleading, and for a deeper understanding of ratings, you can refer to our previous article on this subject here.
Policies: You'll find policies on returns, refunds, shipping, and communication in this section. However, these are often boilerplate Amazon policies or are expected to be more favorable to customers than Amazon's requirements, so you may not need to dig deep into these.
Detailed Seller Information: This area provides access to the seller's business entity information, including a mailing address. European Amazon sites also provide additional customer service addresses, email, and phone numbers. We'll be delving deeper into this section in a future issue of this newsletter.
The seller page on Amazon is a rich resource that, when navigated correctly, can provide a wealth of information about a seller's business. We hope this guide has been helpful, and as always, TrackSellers is here to help you organize and interpret this data in a more informed and intelligent manner. Stay tuned for a future issue where we'll dive deeper into the 'Detailed Seller Information' on the seller page.
